The final piece I needed to leave 1Password
Come the launch of iOS 18 and macOS Sequoia I plan to ditch 1Password and move to Apple’s native Passwords app. But there are a few things that 1Password still does that Passwords does not. Most notably, securing storing credit card info, passports, driver’s licenses and the like.
Today I found the solution while looking through the Indie App Sale of July ‘24. An app called Access developed by Foyer Objet solves exactly this problem.
It billed as “pair[ing] well with System Passwords” because its not a full password manager but a secrets manager for everything that’s not a password. Including: credit cards, passports, driver licenses, insurance, bank accounts, documents, and secure notes.
It’s a nicely designed app built with pure SwiftUI and available on all Apple platforms. It really completes the 1Password feature set when combined with Passwords.
Very impressed!
